Red Privet’s Director of Customer Experience Lissa Richards was recently invited by the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) to serve as a panel expert at their Central PA chapter meeting. The event, entitled “From Another Angle: A Panel Conversation on User Experience” will be held on Saturday, March 25 from 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm at Startup Harrisburg in Harrisburg, PA.

The AIGA is the oldest and largest professional association for designers, with over 70 chapters and 25,000 members nationwide. The organization’s mission is to enhance the value and deepen the impact of design on business, society, and our collective future.

AIGA Central PA’s “From Another Angle: A Panel Conversation on User Experience” will bring together area professionals to discuss UX processes, strategies, and functional ways to apply user experience techniques to projects. In addition to Red Privet’s Lissa Richards, the panel will include Andrew Jacobs, User Experience Architect and Strategist at Williams Forrest, Teresa Van Wagner, User Experience Design Director at Neo-Pangea, and Jamie Hess, UX/UI Designer at Listrak.

“Following a human-centered design approach leads to improved products and services, no matter what field we’re in,” said Lissa Richards. “I’m looking forward to discussing how we use UX design techniques to improve our work, and how you can apply those techniques even if you don’t necessarily have ‘User Experience’ in your job title.”

Lissa specializes in customer research, design strategy and service design – using techniques like customer journey mapping and service blueprinting to build award-winning experiences for clients including Duke Health, Penn State Health, and Geisinger Health System.
